This is a lovely decanter. I found it difficult to pour the last few ounces of wine. The handle didn't give me much leverage and I had to hold it up from the bottom.

Actually, this decanter makes several statements.First -- it's gorgeous. It makes a great centerpiece. The pictures do not do it justice.Second -- it's large. I use it for 3L bottles because I don't need to stop in the midst of decanting to find another container.Third -- it's quirky. You have to place it on the table at an angle. People who try to use it after a few drinks find it difficult to properly place. I love that part, actually. ;-)Fourth -- it's tricky. The less wine, the more difficult it is to pour. I find it really easy to do if I just put my palm up to grab the handle rather than the more natural palm down, since that gives me a more degrees of rotation.Fifth -- it's fun. I have two and have given two as presents. The recipients are thrilled.I've had mine for 5 or 6 years now, and the only thing I'm concerned about now is that there appears to be a crack developing at the handle...
