this is perfect for what we paid. does the job sufficiently, is sturdy enough to trust with nice decanters. if you want something to look really nice this is not the product for you.

Overall, item has the appearance of a quality drying stand. The stainless steel looks to be of top quality. However, once attempting to assemble the two pieces, it became apparent that the threads on the base were not even close to matching up with the threads on the riser stand.Screwing the pieces together did nothing more than produce fine metal shavings. Applying a very small amount of additional pressure forced the threaded end of the riser stand to become lodged in the riser shaft. The only way I will be able to make this product work is to use "liquid metal" for bonding the two pieces together.

The stem didn't screw into the base. The quality felt decent, but since the only adjustable component was broken I decided to return rather than replace. I have devised a method of putting a towel over a small bakers rack and then drying the decanter upside down on that. Works well enough.
