Never would have thought that by doing this "decanting" would it actually improve the taste of your average wine, but it certainly does! I'm now going to give all those low cost Cab's I purchased in the past and rated low, a 2nd chance.

We gave this as a birthday gift (LOOKS like it would work great, but haven't personally tried it yet), and the packaging this thing comes in is worth the extra money alone! (like than this one: http://www.amazon.com/Final-Touch-Traditional-Decanter-Includes/dp/B002CV90TM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1343675194&sr=8-3&keywords=wine+decanter). It is a gorgeous black cylinderical box and looks very high tech and very expensive. Plus this one said the aerator (and decanter itself?) is crystal, so it probably looks better than the other one.

This actually worked out better than I had first expected. I wanted a regular decanter, but the aeriator that comes with this product is a great bonus! The wine tasted so much better after letting it sit for a few minutes. You're able to appreciate the aroma better, and the flavor of the wine softened.
