I bought this as a gift for my father, who is absolutely impossible to buy for. When I saw it in use during a recent visit, I knew it was a winner. The picture doesn't do it justice - it is very heavy and very elegant.

I'm a relatively new bourbon connoisseur, and after starting a bit of a collection, I decided to purchase a decanter as a centerpiece for my set. I looked extensively and found this design the most appealing. The wide top but narrow neck makes it perfect for one handed pouring, and the crystal weight has a great feel to it. A nice middle ground between price point and design, highly recommend it.

I really like this decanter. By far, way classier than a lot of other peoples decanters I know. It has a heft to it, which is very nice and shows the quality... MY ONLY COMPLAINT. This topper is outstanding and looks great, BUT it does not have a tight fit. The glass on one side rubs the inside of the bottle and would definitely oxidize my scotch way too quickly. I am in the process of communicating with Ravenscroft since I know this isn't available right now. Hopefully I can either get this resolved or take it to a glass expert to fix myself. Or just use saran wrap to improve the seal. But for this price, I was expecting a sealed decanter.
